If you are a homesteader, or just have a garden, this is a valuable yearly publication. The weather predictions and gardening advice is always very accurate-how do they do it.-and the other articles are very fun and informative. I started buying Old Farmer's Almanac in 2000. I found the 2009 edition here, as I missed getting it that year.
She's happy, so I'm happy. This was a gift for my mom, who requested it.
Should be fun.Not too big on having advertisements in a book, but I guess maybe it pays the bills. I bought this book as a new farmer, and it has tons of interesting facts. I want to try some of the planning guides out.
I can buy any "how to" book for the same price or less with no ads what so ever. I feel it is way overpriced for the amount of useful information compared to ads. Think twice before buying. The book has some good information but it has way too much advertisement. I showed it to my parents and they could not believe how much more advertisement was in it compared to the old days.
